Movies right to our door

Favorites:

I signed up for Netflix a few weeks ago and we just finished watching our second batch of three movies. I have to say "hat's off" to whom ever came up with the business plan.

The web site's easy to use, I just pick what I'd like to see, put my list in a prioritized order, and they send me the my list 3 movies at a time. Their web site is clean, simple, syndicated via RSS, and has absolutely no banner ads--quite rare for most web sites these days.

Amy and I are notorious for returning movies late and I'm sure that we were paying more for monthly rentals and late fees than we are for our monthly Netflix fee. Our movies are sent from a Netflix hub in Denver and we've got our viewing schedule down to watching on Saturday and Sunday, then returning the DVDs on Monday. This means that we'll usually get three more DVDs to watch by the following Saturday.

The trick for us is to always have at least every third movie in our queue geared toward the boys. If I could suggest anything to Netflix it would be to create an easy way for families to sort their queue so that there's always something for the kids.

Tonight we watched To Kill a Mockingbird with the boys. It's such a great story and I laughed when Amy explained to Ryan that the Jem and Scout didn't have T.V., Nintendo, or computers to keep them occupied.

Chad and Amy Kieffer are in no way affiliated with Netflix or any Netflix affiliate. Netflix, however, can show it's gratitude by mailing a check for this testimonial with the Kieffer's next batch of DVDs.
