Last Thursday, Amy and I saw Los Lobos here in Santa Fe at the Lensic Theatre. They were incredible! This was Amy's first Los Lobos concert and my second. Amy even bought me a Los Lobos t-shirt. After this concert, Los Lobos is now one of those bands that I will not miss if they play anywhere within a 50 mile radius of Santa Fe.

The show was an entirely acoustic set of the Mexican and Latin folk songs that the band has discovered and played over the years. It doesn't matter if you know Spanish--I certainly don't--the music is fun and their performance is even better. They've released a live CD titled Acoustic En Vivo that includes many of these songs.

Their tour is nearly over and most of the dates left are west of the continental divide. If they come to town near you, don't miss them.
