Looking for some new music to add to your collection? If you use iTunes, look for the iTunes iMixes from user Matt Shiv, program director at woxy.com. Shiv recently posted WOXY.com's 97 best of 2005, well, at least the best that the iTunes music store had available.
A brand new radio station recently went on the air in Santa Fe. At first, Amy and I had to check to make sure one of our mix CDs wasn't playing and check to see if the wonderful mix of music was coming from my iPod--but the iPod was not on. Much to our delight the music was coming from 101.5 FM.
Happy New Year! The boys had two weeks off while I only had one and Amy actually had to go into the office a few days between Christmas and New Years. We stayed home to have our first family Christmas in New Mexico in a few years and our "first Christmas morning at our current address. Owen is happy to have received several remote control cars which he now chases around the house daily.
Another year has gone by, and after a year and a half in our new home we love it even more.
Owen turned three in May. We threw a party for him and were fortunate to have Amy's grandparents from Arizona in attendance. Owen spent a good part of his summer as Dad's little helper, following Chad around the yard during every weekend project. Owen continues to try to keep up with his big brother by taking interest in everything that interests Ryan--Legos, Bionicles, Mario Kart on the Nintendo, and looking for lizards in the back yard. One thing that is uniquely Owen's is his love for cars and his infectious and energetic enthusiasm. This fall, Owen started preschool at the Montessori Children's House. Despite some misgivings about starting "skool," Owen has adjusted to the new routine and made some new buddies of his own. At the first parent-teacher conference, Owen's teachers said they wished they had more "sweet little boys like Owen" in their classroom.
In most fantasy football leagues this year, the person with Peyton Manning is most likely at the top of league standings. I was lucky to draft Peyton in one of my leagues, but unfortunately it's not the league I place more importance on (obviously due to monetary reasons).
You know, on the way over, I decided to listen to a rock station to get into the mood. And I heard a line in one of those tribal passages that I thought was the keynote for this evening. "Everybody have fun tonight. Everybody Wang Chung tonight."
